To be released by Odeon cinema chain in the UK, March 18^th Downton Abbey: A New Era, the follow-up to the 2019 film, sees the Crawley family go on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the dowager countess's newly inherited villa. Directed by Simon Curtis with the screenplay by Julian Fellowes. Downton Abbey: A New Era stars Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter and Phyllis Logan. The film is produced by Julian Fellowes, Gareth Neame and Liz Trubridge, with stunning production design created by Donal Woods. Costume Design Maja Meschede and Anna Robbins. Cinematography by Andrew Dunn. Music by Emmy Award-winning Scottish composer John Lunn, who also composed the music for the Downton Abbey series.
