War Factories Wag Entertainment presents two new ground-breaking war series: WW2 In Numbers and War Factories for the first time at MIPTV. Janice Strangward, SVP Sales at Wag Entertainment says: “These shows take an innovative and surprising approach to a subject area which is still in high demand across the world. We’re setting out to refresh and reinvent the way these stories are told.”
Prior to MIPTV, Wag Entertainment secured pre-sales of the series with several key broadcasters in territories including UK, France, Germany, Italy, CEE, Nordics & Africa. World War 2 in Numbers and War Factories are produced by the London-based production arm of Wag.
World War 2 in Numbers is the latest series in Wag’s developing In Numbers franchise. It follows on from the success of their Great War In Numbers (6 x 60’)and usesextraordinary statistics to tell the story of the Second World War. The series is backed up with ‘show and tell’ demonstrations includes location filming, films and stills archives and compelling interviews with leading historians including Max Hastings. The series also introduces a new generation of young, international experts.
War Factories (8 x 60’), with location filming and previously unseen archive, tells the untold story of war production during World War 2. This series tells the story of the ‘war of the factories’ … the real incredible story of how the war was won and lost.
Wag Entertainment will also be closing more deals at MIPTV for True Evil: Making of a Nazi (6 x 60’) a series which answers one of the most important questions in history: how did educated, apparently civilised people turn into Nazi criminals? Each episode of the series tells the life-story of another of a leading Nazi during that period.
