Last Treasures of the Earth
Autentic Distribution attends MIPTV with over 200 program hours of new series and documentaries, for the international marketplace. Among its new series at MIPTV is Last Treasures of the Earth (90', 52'), a film from Filmtank that takes the viewer to the remote parts of the world and to the people who live there. The films embarks on a fascinating journey from the White Nile in Southern Sudan to Ethiopia, to the sea nomads in Malaysia and to the Indians in the Brazilian rainforest. At the edges of the world we know, the last indigenous communities live as hunters, shepherds, farmers and fishermen. We experience the beauty of their cultures and ways of life.

The series shows culinary treasures of those who know best: Farmers, winegrowers, cooks, housewives, fishermen and many more. We visit these people in different regions of Europe and accompany them through their daily lives, in the five-part documentary series.”
In the company’s ground-breaking series Terror! (6 x 50') by Topkapi Film for the Dutch broadcaster NTR, the series examines historically significant terrorist attacks in six episodes. Using interviews, archive material and reconstructions, we summarise exactly what happened in these most terrible moments in history. The significance of these terrorist attacks becomes clear when one looks at them from different perspectives and puts them in a historical context.
