Keaton & Rogen Together
In King Of The Jungle

Michael Keaton and Seth Rogen will star in King of the Jungle, a comedy to be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa from a script by Golden Globe® and Emmy® Award winners Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. King of The Jungle is based on a true story first published in Condé Nast’s Wired magazine by Joshua Davis. The film is from Condé Nast Entertainment, Zaftig Films, MadRiver Pictures and Endurance Media, who have come on board to co-finance, and Epic Entertainment. IMR International is introducing King of the Jungle to international buyers at the AFM with CAA Media Finance representing the U.S. rights. The film will be produced by Jeremy Steckler of Condé Nast Entertainment, Zaftig’s Charlie Gogolak, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, MadRiver’s Marc Butan, Endurance’s Steve Richards, and Epic’s Joshua Davis. Based on the Wired magazine article John McAfee’s Last Stand, the film tells the wild true story of rogue tech magnate John McAfee (Keaton), creator of the McAfee Antivirus software, who cashed-in his fortune, left civilization, and moved to the jungle in Belize. There, he set-up a Colonel Kurtz-like compound of guns, sex and madness. In the film, Wired magazine investigator Ari Furman (Rogen) accepts what he thinks is a run-of-the-mill assignment to interview McAfee, but once he arrives in Belize, he finds himself pulled into McAfee’s escalating paranoia, slippery reality, and murder.

Cathy Brady Makes Her Directorial Debut
Wildfire With Crystel Fournier As DOP
Award-winning cinematographer Crystel Fournier (pictured above) is the Director of Photography (DOP) on Wildfire, the highly anticipated feature debut from award-winning Irish director Cathy Brady and a multi award-winning team of producers: Tempesta Films’ Carlo Cresto-Dina, Cowboy Films’ Charles Steel, and Samson Films’ David Collins (Oscar and Sundance winner Once, Float Like A Butterfly). An Irish-UK co-production, Wildfire was supported through development and production by the BFI, Screen Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen and the Wellcome Trust. Film4, Sulcata Productions, Illium and Lexis Media also co-financed production. Lizzie Francke, Celine Haddad, Lauren Dark, Emma Duffy, Robert Halmi and Jim Reeve are the executive producers. Wildfire is a six week shoot on location in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Cathy Brady’s journey in making this film began by casting the lead actors Nika McGuigan and Nora-Jane Noone, and deciding on Fournier as DOP. From there, over a year-long workshop process of improvisations, transcript, rehearsal, voice and dance drills, she created the story and wrote the script. “What excited us by Wildfire was firstly Cathy’s energy and talent,” said the producers, “but also the unique generative process Cathy wanted for this: trying to create a film that is different because it’s made differently.” Great Point is handling world sales and Head of Sales Nada Cirjanic and her team is introducing the project to buyers at AFM Market. Cirjanic said: “We were moved by the piercing emotional truth of this story of a family in crisis, and captivated by Cathy’s clear and powerful vision for bringing it to life.”
