Mister Smith Entertainment is handling international sales on the Edward R. Pressman and Jim Young production of The Man Who Knew Infinity, the biographic film on the life of mathematics genius Srinivasa Ramanujan starring Dev Patel, Jeremy Irons, and newcomer Devika Bhisé

Dev Patel portrays the mathematics genius Ramanujan and Jeremy Irons portrays G.H. Hardy, the celebrated English mathematician who recognized Ramanujan's unique brilliance despite his lack of formal training and education, and plucked him from obscurity in Edwardian India and installed him in the hallowed halls of the University of Cambridge. Devika Bhisé portrays Ramanujan's wife, Janaki.

The film is directed by Matthew Brown who also wrote the screenplay based on the biography The Man Who Knew Infinity: A Life of the Genius Ramanujan by Robert Kanigel. Key crew included Larry Smith, Director of Photography, Production Designer Luciana Arrighi, Casting Director Reg Poerscout-Edgerton and Costume Designer Ann Maskrey.

Shot in the UK at Trinity College in the University of Cambridge (the first film to be shot at Trinity), following a short shoot various locations in South India, The Man Who Knew Infinity is currently in post production.

Ed Pressman commented: "In keeping with our long-standing tradition of partnering with highly talented and promising new directors, we're thrilled to have worked with Matthew Brown on The Man who Knew Infinity. We recognize the same striking vision and passion in Matthew as we did with then-emerging auteurs like Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking, 2006), David Gordon Green (Undertow, 2004) and Kathryn Bigelow (Blue Steel, 1989); and more classic auteurs like Terry Malick (Badlands, 1973), Brian De Palma (Sisters, 1973, Phantom of the Paradise, 1974) and Oliver Stone (Wall Street, 1987)."

The film is an Edward R. Pressman and Animus Films production in association with Xeitgeist and Marcys Holdings. Pressman and Animus' Jim Young are the producers along with Sofia Sondervan of Dutch Tilt Film, Pressman's COO, Jon Katz, and Xeitgeist's Joe Thomas.

Debt Financing was provided by Ariel Film Partners I in conjunction with East West Bank. Ariel is co-managed by American Entertainment Investors, Inc. and Shipwright, LLC.
